What started as a collection of rants and raving while suffering the mind-numbing cold of the Upper Mississippi Valley has now become observations of assimilating to the State of Alabama.

Moving.
In January of this year I interviewed and got offered a new job. Federal Gov. Federal Bennies...needless to say I took it. The only downside is that I moved farther NORTH! (Yes..I am an idiot.) So in March I found myself moving, orienting myself to a new town, new people and finding a place to live that is much nicer than the trailer I was in. So things are looking up- even if my ass is going to be even colder than it was last year in January.

Ameen Sister.... I truly believe that also. The Universe has a funny way of snatching us up and plopping us down where it wants. Who would have thought that 3 yrs, when you and I were smoking cigs driving around the block to avoid the "Campus Nazi cops" that we would be where we are now? Me in the dessert and you in the frozen tundra. Strange....but its life. We have to keep moving forward or get left behind.
Funny how things happen ain't it? Don't get me wrong, there are things I miss now that I'm gone, however I think the move out of LaCrosse was a long time coming, and I am where I need to be for now, just as you are- I think some things do happen for a reason. :) Inshalla, no?
